About the position

The Production Sorter at Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is responsible for preparing, sorting, tagging, and hanging donations for the sales floor while providing exceptional customer service. This part-time role requires meeting daily production goals and maintaining compliance with safety and housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Sort, price, tag and hang donated goods in preparation for stocking the sales floor
• Ensure quality of merchandise and pre-sort items for salvage
• Meet daily production goals of at least 5 racks, 100 pieces per rack or team goal as approved
• Perform daily and nightly recovery of sales floor
• Assist customers by answering questions and providing excellent customer service
• Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping practices and expectations
• Maintain a professional and flexible attitude; willing to take on different job responsibilities
• Promote the mission and values of Goodwill
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail, production, warehouse, material handling or customer service experience preferred
