About The Position

The Production Planning Coordinator is responsible for accurate record keeping and computer information entry associated with Production Orders, reconciliation, and scheduling. This role utilizes SAP, shop floor systems, and emails to create daily production orders and distribute them to supervisors and load-out personnel. The coordinator also schedules inbound appointments for raw material receiving, tracks yield, manages inventory controls, and handles sales volume scheduling. They review daily Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and forward relevant information to the appropriate manager or supervisor and load-out team members. Additionally, they distribute Load Sheets and pick-up times via incoming mail. This position requires adherence to policies regarding confidential information, company code of business ethics and conduct, internet email usage, password protection, and company assets.

Requirements

  • Prior computer skills a must.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Shop Floor systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate and/or read and understand documents such as production orders, PICK sheets, SOPS, safety rules, work rules, HACCP regulations, policy and/or procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide as needed.
  • High school diploma.
  • 1+ years of administrative, coordinator, or plant support experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Familiarity with purchasing systems and PO processes.
  • Experience tracking KPIs or working with reports.
  • Basic HR knowledge or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create daily production orders and distribute to supervisors and load out personnel.
  • Schedule inbound appointments of trucks for raw receiving.
  • Track yield and manage inventory controls.
  • Schedule sales volume.
  • Review daily Standard Operating Procedures and forward relevant information.
  • Distribute Load sheets and pick up times.
  • Provide direct support to the Plant Manager.
  • Maintain and organize plant logs, records, and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations.
  • Assist with scheduling, meetings, and daily coordination.
  • Create and submit purchase requisitions.
  • Receive and process purchase orders (POs).
  • Track orders and follow up with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping for purchasing.
  • Pull and compile plant reports.
  • Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in analyzing data and identifying trends.
  • Act as a liaison between operations, HR, and leadership.
  • Support plant communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate plant events, meetings, and cross-functional activities.
  • Assist with onboarding coordination and employee documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates.
  • Support HR-related administrative tasks within the plant.
