About the position
The Production Planner at Joseph's Gourmet Pasta Company is responsible for overseeing daily plant production schedules and developing mid to long-range production plans. This role involves managing inventory levels for work in process and finished goods to meet company goals for on-time delivery, turns, and fill rate.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily production planning
- Manages inventory of perishable WIP materials
- Develops detailed mid and long-range production and labor plans for all equipment in the facility
- Develops plans for critical ingredient and packaging forecasts
- Produces detailed, polished communications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or other related field
- 1-5 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing
- Broad understanding of production planning
- Broad understanding of manufacturing capabilities and constraints
- Knowledgeable at interpreting BOM's, recipes and batching constraints
- Knowledge of Navision Dynamics or other ERP packages
- Advanced Excel skills, including formula construction and pivot tables
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior managers and peers
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, verbal, or written form
- Able to deal with multiple variables and imperfect data sources
