About the position

The Production Planner/Scheduler will coordinate demand inputs for production and develop a feasible plan that aligns with the service and working capital requirements of PPG's Industrial Coatings Division. This role involves utilizing Oracle R12 Scheduling applications to manage production schedules, ensuring that customer demands are met while optimizing plant resources and inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all demand inputs for production and develop an achievable finite plan.
  • Use Oracle R12 Scheduling applications to schedule work orders based on available resources and inventory.
  • Manage production parameters including routings, resources, lead times, minimum order quantity, and safety stock.
  • Ensure planning system parameters are set to meet service and working capital requirements.
  • Create and publish the production schedule to the team and communicate with operations to ensure adherence to the schedule.
  • Utilize long-term rough-cut capacity planning to identify and resolve capacity constraints.
  • Ensure acceptable service levels to both internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams for new product launches and develop the S&OP 12-month supply plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, supply chain, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of supply chain experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP systems.
