About the position

The Production Manager I - Panels at Plascore Inc. is responsible for overseeing all plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control. This role involves close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely fulfillment of sales orders and efficient production processes. The position emphasizes innovation and process improvement in a hands-on environment, working with aluminum and composite materials.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Production Supervisor to plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders.
• Evaluate production results against established goals and seek improvements in operations.
• Recognize and solve problems affecting production including schedule, staff, quality, and order of production line.
• Ensure production cost-effectiveness and maintain product quality control.
• Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, making adjustments as necessary.
• Practice team building and provide leadership to achieve outstanding results.
• Participate in improving products, processes, equipment, and methods.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
• Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 5-7 years of related experience
• Experience managing 10+ direct reports
• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident)
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent technical communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Working knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T
• Initiative for product/process improvement
• Leadership seminars and/or coursework

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
• Ability to manipulate CAD/CAM files or programming experience a plus
