About the position
The Production Hand Welder position at F&P America Manufacturing involves inspecting and repairing welds on automotive parts. The role is essential for ensuring the quality of production and maintaining safety standards in the manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Perform 100% visual inspection on all welds.
- Repair any welds that do not meet specification.
- Tap required nuts for spatter removal.
- Inspect parts for quality concerns.
- Detect and report defective materials to supervisor.
- Conduct machine operation and safety checks on prescribed intervals.
- Perform general clean-up and organization of work area (SCORE- Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency).
- Other duties as assigned to maintain production.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED preferred.
- Follow all safety requirements of the company including PPE and safe job behaviors.
- Able to read and understand operation standards and job instructions.
- Able to use basic tools.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.
