About The Position

This role oversees in-kind donation production for the vehicle program by facilitating change to meet internal and external customer needs, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. The supervisor will develop and maintain production staff and vendors, provide communication to internal and external parties, assume risk management, provide a learning environment for the work experience program, develop and maintain the production budget, expand production knowledge, and oversee technician positions in the shop.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field, 1 year of production management experience, 3 years of production/assembly line experience, or willingness to complete training through Rawhide’s LMS system
  • Strong leadership, administrative, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgetary restraints and safety regulations

Responsibilities

  • Develops production staff and vendors by providing training, supervision, coaching, encouragement, and discipline to staff involved in production processes, product segmentation, detailing, and repairs to meet production goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Provides information and input pertinent to department decision-making, recommending options and courses of action.
  • Maintains production capacity based on internal and external customer needs by providing vendor and staff planning and development, and writing job descriptions needed for development plans.
  • Maintains Rawhide fleet and DOT inspections along with state registrations by inspecting automotive vehicles to ensure compliance with state standards and governmental regulations, and interpreting related state laws and regulations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by completing required trainings, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains staff job results by training and coaching support staff, establishing staff goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback, and appraising job results.
  • Protects the credibility of the Rawhide Mission by complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct and setting an example in words and actions consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide.
  • Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as directed or assigned by supervisor.
  • Trains and develops production staff on proper processes and procedures.
  • Coordinates production schedule ensuring accurate amounts of materials and supplies are available for production work.
