About The Position
Intsel Steel West, a subsidiary of Triple-S Steel, is seeking a motivated CNC oxy/plasma machine operator. The operator will set up and operate an overhead crane to load/unload steel plates, verify finished product meets specifications, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Requirements
- Experienced operating CNC plasma and oxy machines
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes
- Ability to read tape measure to within 1/16”
- Experience with overhead crane
- Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time
Responsibilities
- Select correct machine settings for optimal cutting operations
- Measure materials to assure accuracy with design specifications
- Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Keep accurate record of daily operations and material usage
