About the position

The Graphic Production Designer is responsible for converting design files into formats suitable for prepress and automation, specifically for collectible trading cards. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure design specifications are met and that all files are compliant with manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Create design specification documents for internal and external distribution.
• Partner with Creative Technology, art directors, project management, and external prepress/print vendors to facilitate file deliverables.
• Coordinate with Creative and Creative Technology teams to ensure all designs meet specifications.
• Review print specifications on form breaks and ensure alignment with manufacturing specifications, updating files as necessary.
• Understand common licensor requirements and review master files for compliance.
• Execute manual compositions of designs as directed by the Creative team, including photo collages and custom typography.

Requirements

• Strong Prepress and Print knowledge.
• Expert level proficiency in Creative Suite (Adobe CC: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
• Organized and attentive to detail, with a focus on accuracy.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
• Expert level Prepress and graphic production experience.
