About The Position

Come join our team! This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus! Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a basic physical; be able to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7 am-3:30 pm. Must be flexible to work overtime. Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive. Position Summary: Based in Berlin, CT the Production Control will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Quality Manager to meet customer specifications including assisting other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language

  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends

Responsibilities

  • Review customer PO’s and ensure all necessary paperwork is correct for processing.
  • Work with customer to resolve any PO issues.
  • Enter jobs into JOP system (selecting cycle/ unit/ parameters/ etc.) as appropriate.
  • Create customer Certifications as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or instructed.
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Follow the established work procedures and control measures (including the use of PPE where issued) and any applicable SHE rules
  • Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices
  • Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS
  • Report SHE incidents including near misses and unsafe acts / conditions immediately
  • Suggest areas for improvement to their manager
  • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism
