Production Associate - Day Shift
About The Position
Quanex is looking for a dependable Production Associate to join our Day Shift team located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In this role, you are responsible for performing assigned production functions (loading, unloading, stacking blanks of wood) in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements. The starting wage is $17.00/hour. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with potential overtime on Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are off. For individuals with nut allergies, please be advised that there is the potential to be exposed to nut products when working in our facilities.
Requirements
- Manual/finger dexterity skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive work.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production functions (loading, unloading, stacking blanks of wood) in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines and identify any existing or potential safety issues.
- Attend work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
- Receive direction from and notify the supervisor/team lead when more work is needed.
- Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
- Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
