Responsibilities

• Work closely with Producers and other team members to find and edit the best video, sound, and graphics for assigned stories.
• Monitor show rundowns to ensure video and graphics are accurate and current.
• Collaborate with artists and producers to create thoughtful graphics for broadcast.
• Pitch engaging stories for daily and future segments that resonate with the audience.
• Research and fact-check stories with speed and accuracy.
• Collaborate with reporters, anchors, and colleagues to ensure cohesive storytelling.
• Adhere to NBC News standards and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in broadcast, digital, or cable, including internships.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere and/or Avid.
• Strong interest and passion for journalism with knowledge of current news across multiple subjects.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced live show environment.
• Familiarity with graphics creation and presentation.
