About the position

As a Production and Quality Manager for our client in Conyers, GA, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the CNT (LIB) Division. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective planning and allocation of resources necessary for Production, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance within the department. This role is crucial for achieving the production plan while adhering to both internal and external requirements set forth by the Company, Customers, or External Parties. This is a direct-hire opportunity, and you will be expected to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this position, you will be tasked with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff to build a competent team. You will oversee the daily workflow of the department, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations to ensure that all team members are meeting their objectives. Handling employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy will also fall under your purview. You will manage the planning and scheduling of raw materials with vendors, as well as the production scheduling, ensuring that all paperwork is processed accurately. Additionally, you will oversee the Work in Process (WIP) and Storage Warehouse, guiding the allocation of storage locations and maintaining the inventory control process. Your role will also involve planning and scheduling deliveries to customers and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently. You will manage Document Control, Calibration, Corrective and Preventative Actions, and 4M Change management, among other tasks as assigned. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a productive and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff

Requirements

  • Chemical processing experience
  • Previous experience with hazardous chemicals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
