Product Manager

About the position

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Alpha Index Hub team. This role will focus on delivering high-quality, data-driven solutions to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of financial benchmarks and indices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial data analysis, stakeholder management, and process optimization, with a deep understanding of index methodologies and managed services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and technology teams, to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our benchmark and index offerings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, product managers, and development teams, to gather and document business requirements for benchmark/index managed services.
• Analyze and validate index methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
• Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of benchmarks and indices.
• Identify inefficiencies in workflows related to index calculation, rebalancing, and reporting.
• Act as a liaison between business, technical, and client teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Lead and support projects related to the development, enhancement, or maintenance of benchmark/index managed services.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements impacting benchmarks and indices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with at least 2 years focused on benchmarks, indices, or managed services.
• Proven experience working with financial data, index methodologies, or market data platforms.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel (advanced).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks governing benchmarks (e.g., IOSCO, EU BMR) is a plus.
• Experience with index rebalancing, weighting methodologies, or custom index creation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Benefits

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $212,500 Annual
