About The Position

Early Media is a media company creating and distributing vertical series. We craft narratives with real viral potential and mass appeal while preserving the heart of indie production, telling meaningful stories audiences actually care about. Every creative decision is sharpened by a proprietary testing and marketing engine that collapses the distance between producer and consumer into the tightest iteration loop in the industry. We’re building a creator-side marketplace to become the top-funnel distribution engine driving this growth, built to power content testing and promotion at massive scale. The platform is currently in development. You'd own this product from pre-launch through scale. This is a build-from-zero role, not a maintain-and-optimize role.

Requirements

  • Ridiculously driven. Bias toward speed and shipping. We're a small team building fast. You default to action over analysis paralysis.
  • Experience taking a product from 0 to 1. You've shipped something from scratch, not just iterated on mature products.
  • Strong analytical instincts. You're comfortable modeling unit economics, RPM structures, and creator LTV.
  • Familiarity with short-form video ecosystems and how creators operate within them.

Nice To Haves

  • Founder-types are highly preferable, regardless of their success. If not directly a founder, experience building a product from 0 to 1 is huge. Ideally at a marketplace, creator economy, or social platform company.
  • Experience planning or managing content distribution campaigns. You know what performs where and why.
  • Direct experience with two-sided marketplaces or creator/influencer platforms. You understand supply-side dynamics.
  • Background in entertainment, media, or ad-tech.
  • Experience with creator payout systems or gig economy payment infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing platforms.
  • Experience running clipping operations or content arbitrage models.
  • You have deep familiarity with building communities on Discord.

Responsibilities

  • Product strategy and roadmap. Define what gets built, in what order, and why. Translate business goals into a clear backlog with measurable outcomes.
  • Creator acquisition and retention. Own the funnel from creator signup through first post through sustained engagement. Figure out what makes creators stick and what makes them churn.
  • RPM model and economics. Design, test, and iterate on the payout model. Balance creator incentives against campaign ROI.
  • Content operations. Build the workflows for content distribution, quality checks, and performance tracking. Define what "good" looks like and make it measurable.
  • Campaign execution. Work with Marketing & Data teams to scope large scale ad campaigns, set targets, and deliver results. You're the point person for campaign performance. This includes managing cross-platform campaigns for TV shows: selecting titles, defining strategy, coordinating distribution across creator networks and managed accounts, and reporting on results.
  • Cross-functional coordination. Work directly with engineering on feature development, and with the ops team on day-to-day execution.
  • Growth and community. Develop creator sourcing channels. Build a community that recruits itself. Partner with the content team on creator-facing marketing.
