About the position

The Product Engineer I is responsible for providing essential documentation to manufacturing for the production of refrigeration products. This role involves structuring and routing bills of material, designing refrigeration systems, and creating CAD designs, including sheet metal and piping. The engineer will also support the shop floor with drawing interpretation, work instructions, and lean manufacturing improvements, while driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide documentation to manufacturing for refrigeration products.
• Structure and route bills of material.
• Design refrigeration systems and perform coil sizing.
• Create CAD designs including sheet metal and piping.
• Develop wiring schematics and select components.
• Support the shop floor with drawing interpretation and guidance.
• Provide work instructions for production processes.
• Support lean manufacturing improvements on the production line.
• Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD design and refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
