About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Product and Service Quality Manager (Level K) to support the 737 Quality Delivery team onsite in Renton, Washington. The 737 Delivery Team is seeking a First-Line Quality Manager to lead and support the collection and management of the Aircraft Readiness Log (ARL) in support of aircraft delivery requirements. This role provides day-to-day leadership to a team of Quality Inspectors responsible for validating and capturing life-limited part and serial number data. Accurate collection of this information is a critical delivery requirement and is provided with the aircraft at delivery along with other required records.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with managing product definition data requirements, processes, or product data
  • 3+ years of experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause corrective analysis
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience in Material Review Board processes
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

  • 3+ years of experience working with quality and/or manufacturing data systems
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
  • Develops and manages relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
