About the position

We are seeking to hire a friendly, energetic, and helpful person to work in our produce department. A successful candidate will have a strong desire to learn and work with produce items from virtually all around the world. The need to work hands on with all products is a must. The need to trim, rotate and fill produce items constantly to ensure the presentation of the finest and freshest items to our customers for purchasing. Employees not only learn about each produce item, but they will also be required to share, educate and recommend items to customers with their produce purchases. The product mix is constantly changing with each growing season, as well as holiday items and local favorites.

Responsibilities

• Work hands on with produce items from around the world.
• Trim, rotate, and fill produce items to ensure freshness and presentation.
• Educate and recommend produce items to customers.
• Adapt to changing product mix with each growing season and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, stand, walk, and work with hands and fingers throughout the entire work shift.
• Lift items and products up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
• Desire to learn about produce items.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in grocery retail or customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and evenings.
