Responsibilities

• Cleans, trims, packages, processes, rotates, and stocks produce.
• Provides exceptional customer service and contributes to a positive team environment.
• Engages customers in a friendly manner and assists in locating products.
• Prepares the Produce department for store opening and closing.
• Shares product knowledge and makes recommendations based on customer needs.
• Builds displays and arranges products to highlight featured items.
• Stocks, rotates, and faces products with attention to quality and expiration dates.
• Handles damaged and spoiled products according to company policy.
• Receives and unloads merchandise, checking quality and condition.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and rotation of all areas and products.
• Maintains accurate pricing and signage that meet merchandising standards.
• Complies with all company organic standards and safety policies.

Requirements

• Friendly and customer service oriented, with an interest in food and cooking.
• Previous customer service, food service, retail, or grocery experience preferred.
• Basic math and computation skills required.
• Skills to work independently and manage own time effectively.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a retail environment.
• Self-motivated with high attention to detail and quality.
• Skills to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage difficult customer interactions.
