About the position

The Procurement Specialist at Collins Aerospace is responsible for managing procurement processes and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials to support manufacturing and customer on-time delivery (OTD). This role requires strategic sourcing and supply chain management expertise, with a focus on leading projects that shape the strategic direction of the procurement department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience and will work with minimal oversight to drive meaningful change within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer OTD.
  • Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule to validate demand.
  • Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
  • Create purchase orders in accordance with requisitions and contractual requirements.
  • Expedite material as needed, negotiating and working changes within the supply base.
  • Negotiate with suppliers as required for reschedules in support of inventory and business objectives.
  • Support the Supply Chain Sales and Inventory Planning (SIOP) process and Supplier Performance evaluation process.
  • Support the Ops Excellence team and internal stakeholders.
  • Understand basic tools in project management to follow up supplier deliverables.
  • Oversee the product launch process, coordinating with various teams to ensure a successful rollout.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Nice-to-haves

  • Aerospace and Military Procurement experience preferred.
  • Consigned material and raw material procurement experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in developing and executing cycle counting policies, procedures and physical inventory.
