About The Position

As a Procurement Performance Specialist at Volvo Cars, you will support both strategic and operational procurement activities through data-driven insights, cost analysis, and supplier performance monitoring. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enable fact-based decision-making aligned with Volvo Cars’ objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, sustainability, and risk management. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail‑oriented professional with strong business acumen and the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain analytics, finance, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and insights in a clear and effective manner.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, reports, and executive summaries.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and transparency across procurement systems and reporting tools.
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, and internal controls related to procurement activities.
  • Prepare materials for internal reviews, governance forums and management presentations.
  • Track, analyze, and report KPI’s related to Direct Material, Indirect Material, and Supplier Performance Management, including reporting to Plant Business Office as needed.
  • Organize and execute Performance Reviews across all departments within Procurement Americas.
  • Contribute to the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of Procurement processes and analytical standards.
  • Develop recurring and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses for procurement leadership.
  • Develop and manage presentation material for local and global reporting as requested.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations.
  • Support data governance and maintain accuracy across procurement systems and databases.
  • Prepare clear and concise summaries and executive‑ready insights for management reviews.
  • Create, coordinate and follow up on training plans for new team members (SPM/DM Buyer/IDP Buyer, Program, and CE functions).
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as requested, including coordinating and managing Global Visitor agendas.
