About the position

The Process Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining injection molding machines to ensure optimal operating efficiency. This role supports the production schedule and applies knowledge of molding machine setup and operating techniques to enhance production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain injection molding machines for optimal efficiency.
• Read operating logs to identify inoperative machines and determine reasons for malfunctions.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Review time and production records to ensure standards are met.
• Start mold changes and verify machine operation at standard cycle time.
• Report any difficulties or problems to the Supervisor.
• Complete Process Verification, Tool Reports, and Mistake proofing Check sheets accurately.
• Maintain the appearance of all Thermolaters, Robot Control Stations, and DME units.
• Ensure product quality meets current standards as defined by the first and last shot.
• Document all issues of non-conformance.
• Troubleshoot machine, mold, and material problems.
• Ensure proper care and disposal of all equipment and purgings.
• Follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
• Comply with all Environmental Requirements and Policies.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Entry-level position requiring no specific degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with process cost management.
• Skills in inspecting and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical maintenance.
