About the position
The Process Technician will operate production equipment to achieve desired production volumes and maintain quality standards. This role involves handling and transporting chemical materials, monitoring and controlling both manual and automated processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Know the equipment and in-process operation.
- Handle, store, transfer, and transport chemical material.
- Operate, monitor, and control continuous and batch processes; adjust variables such as temperature, pressure, and feed rate in accordance with SOPs.
- Communicate compliance, safety, and equipment needs as identified.
- Accurately fill out required paperwork including operating data, test results, and environmental reports.
- Provide routine minor maintenance to process equipment and instrumentation.
- Apply product quality and safety standards and report any safety incidents to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Safely operate independently while adhering to all company SOPs.
- Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety, and health regulations.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Perform other miscellaneous related duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a chemical operator or equivalent experience.
- Ability to safely operate an industrial fork truck.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand complex and/or technical operations and procedures.
- Ability to comply with mandatory Environmental, Health, & Safety training and participate in the Emergency Response Team.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office required; prior MRP or ERP experience preferred.
