About the position

The Process Improvement Manager at National Beef is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives at the plant level, ensuring safe production of high-quality food products while promoting a safe work environment. This role involves providing leadership, technical direction, and coaching to enhance operational efficiency and meet customer needs in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting a Safe Work Environment
  • Leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives at the plant level
  • Providing leadership, planning, technical direction, communication, and coaching skills
  • Ensuring safe production of high-quality food safe products
  • Training personnel in true root cause analysis
  • Analyzing statistical data to ensure process control and improvements
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting company performance data
  • Leading multiple, cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Providing direction in the development and implementation of data collection and analysis
  • Guiding other departments in implementing changes to improve performance
  • Communicating project status to sponsors and stakeholders
  • Preparing information for easy understanding and implementation
  • Promoting good relationships and high morale among employees
  • Assisting supervisors through the Safety investigation/reporting process
  • Maintaining good working relationships with all company departments, USDA, and equipment vendors
  • Understanding and adhering to product and customer specifications
  • Traveling to other plants for project work

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managerial/process role
  • Proven leadership experience in a team environment
  • Staff management experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work successfully in both team and independent environments
  • Excellent work ethic, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to make good business decisions quickly
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening/comprehension skills
  • Ability to stay composed and objective
  • Willingness and availability to work any shift
