About the position
The Process Engineer at Elanco plays a crucial role in the operations of Clinton Labs, the company's largest manufacturing center in the US. This position involves being a technical leader and subject matter expert in process and equipment, focusing on troubleshooting, data analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The engineer will work within multi-disciplinary teams to enhance safety, reliability, quality, operability, throughput, and cost-effectiveness in the manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and engineering solutions to process and equipment related issues.
- Share responsibility for regulatory compliance.
- Utilize computer support systems to aid in troubleshooting processes, analyzing data, and communicating with operators.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes by collaborating with maintenance and operations, managing capital projects, and overseeing design and construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate and reduce sources of variability in processes, equipment, operator execution, and procedures.
Requirements
- BS or MS in engineering (mechanical or chemical).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good problem-solving skills to understand the scope of a problem and drive to resolution.
- High degree of competence in communication skills (written & verbal).
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and deliver results with minimal supervision.
