Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any area, which includes or is supplemented by 24 credit hours in the behavioral or social sciences.
- Applicants who are approaching their anticipated graduation date may apply. If selected, the applicant must complete their degree no later than their start date.
- Applicants must submit a copy of their transcript. However, an official college or university transcript is required at interview.
- Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service. (See www.naces.org/members.html )
- US citizenship is not required.
- Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
- Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
- All persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.

Responsibilities
- Perform case management, pre-disposition and intake functions
- Interview clients/customer
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Screen cases for court
- Prepare cases for hearing
- Enter data into automated record-keeping systems
- Gather relevant facts pertaining to a case
- Conduct home/field visits and urine screens as ordered by the court
- Advise judges on case issues
- Arrange psychological testing of clients or customers
- Participate in team/work unit meetings
- Coordinate activities between or among agencies
- Provide information to judges, attorneys, or community organizations
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports
- Provide access to social services to assist in rehabilitation of law offenders
- Make recommendations for alternate dispute resolution, adjudication, rehabilitation planning and treatment of offenders, including conditional release, substance abuse treatment, and education and employment stipulations
- Monitor and enforce conditions of probation and/or court orders
- Manage case flow and review case statuses for appropriate calendar balance
- Make recommendations to the court
- Attend court hearings and assist in preparing orders, moderate as primary host in Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other virtual courtroom platforms and as co-host, when needed; and be assigned after hours juvenile duty
- Prepare pre-sentence and pre-trial investigations reports
- Supervise adults or juveniles placed on probation
- Monitor and enforce child support orders
- Perform other related duties
