About the position
The PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is designed to support the rehabilitation of patients by assisting in their physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role focuses on helping patients achieve their therapy goals and return to optimal physical function while adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the treatment of residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate records for all residents on caseload.
- Communicate progress and changes in function to the Physical Therapist and other health team members.
- Modify treatment programs only under the direction of the licensed Physical Therapist.
Requirements
- Must hold an Associate's Degree from an accredited college.
- Current and valid PTA license granted from the state of employment.
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
