About The Position

Lumexa Imaging, in partnership with American Health Imaging, is seeking skilled and registered MRI Technologists for PRN roles in Savannah, GA. In this position, you’ll deliver high-quality MRI scans while ensuring exceptional patient care and service. There’s also an opportunity to provide coverage at our Brunswick location, though this is not required. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Advanced registry in MRI
  • Experience working in a MRI Technologist position
  • Demonstrate an adequate knowledge of anatomy
  • CPR Certification is required
  • IV Skills required

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient.
  • Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions.
  • Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed.
  • Monitor patients during exam.
  • Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies.
  • Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed.
  • Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient.
  • Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner.
  • Follow ALARA principles to ensure safe radiation practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
  • Initiate basic life support actions when necessary.
  • Use infection control practices.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
