About the position

HCA HealthONE Rose is seeking a PRN Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. This role involves working in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment, where nurses must be ready to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and directives from physicians. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to provide age-appropriate care based on the individual needs of patients. The Emergency Department RN will work closely with the EMS community, enhancing their learning experiences and professional interactions. This role is essential in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the overall philosophy of care delivery at HCA HealthONE.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients based on their physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs.
  • React quickly to patient needs and directions from doctors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
  • Perform delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and overall plan of care delivery.

Requirements

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) and ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) required within 6 months of hire date.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in emergency room nursing.
  • Familiarity with trauma and pediatric care.
