About the position

The Principal Supply Chain Manager for Amazon Freight Less Than Truckload (AF LTL) is a leadership role focused on Network Design, responsible for shaping the medium and long-term strategy of the AF LTL network. This position aims to optimize the network to provide high-quality, low-cost LTL services, overseeing strategic projects that include transitioning operations from outsourced to in-sourced, developing custom solutions for new customer types, and evolving network topology strategies.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver long-term (LTP) and medium-term planning (MTP) documents for AF LTL
• Advise VP Level Leadership on Strategic Decision Making
• Collaborate with Senior Manager and Director level leaders across the organization and influence medium/long-term decisions across business units to yield the best outcomes for customers
• Lead ad hoc strategic projects including evaluations of strategic partnership opportunities and business cases for new technologies
• Build the medium and long-term terminal expansion strategy for the US AF LTL program
• Work cross functionally within the AF Biz-Ops team and other internal teams to balance cost/speed/quality tradeoffs
• Serve as the subject matter expert on terminal capacity modelling and network connectivity
• Partner with Finance on terminal ROI modelling

Requirements

• 7+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience
• 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
• 7+ years of supply chain experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Nice-to-haves

• Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
• Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
• Experience in Network Design or comparable strategic function
