We are seeking to hire a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Naval Power Standard Missile Portfolio. The selected candidate will directly manage a complex portfolio of contracts while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing contractual guidance, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This area requires quick turn proposal responses, robust contract completion strategies, and novel contracting approaches. This position offers the candidate a broad opportunity to engage with program leadership and coordinate peers in service of several programs of strategic importance to Raytheon. This position will be onsite in Tucson, AZ with minimal travel may be required to specific Raytheon business site locations.

Requirements

Typically requires University Degree and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Experience in contracts management or closely related fields such as (but not limited to) program management, business management, subcontracts or supply chain supporting USG Federal contracts
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Active and transferrable DoD Secret clearance
Experience in contracts negotiations, execution and administration of various contracts aspects (including price, Statements of Work, terms, etc.), and agreements such as Proprietary Information Agreements
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) requirements
Ability to adapt to changing business environments, while working tasks to completion and exercising good judgment with minimal supervision
Understanding of financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
Experience with Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements

Responsibilities

Provide contractual guidance to cross-functional partners to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.
Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development and negotiation of proposals, contractual agreements, and general contract administration.
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly.
Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they arise.
