Principal Software Engineer (Zynga)

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Zynga's Central Technology division. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, refining, and upgrading the build and release pipeline for mobile application games. Your expertise will empower the workflow of game teams and contribute to the modernization and scalability of Zynga's infrastructure. We are looking for someone with experience in Jenkins, provisioning solutions, and AWS services, who is motivated and eager to learn new technologies. • Maintain, refine and upgrade the build and release pipeline for mobile application games
• Take care of server provisioning, configuration and dependencies management
• Ensure the automation and delivery of required projects
• Verify the security and integrity of the infrastructure
• Design, deploy and maintain centralized build & release engineering infrastructure, including CICD platforms, build farms, SCM systems, package management, and code review tools
• Maintain crucial skills in modern technology/standards and use automation whenever possible
• Establish testing and reporting methods that drive critical metrics for system performance
• Communicate with internal customers and game teams to understand system requirements
• Propose improvements to system architecture and drive automation efforts
• Update and maintain documentation/runbooks
• Root cause and resolve problems with automated systems and deployments

• Motivated and willing to learn new technologies
• High level of English proficiency (both written and spoken)
• At least 3 years of working experience
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience with provisioning solutions such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audience
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code mindsets
• Knowledge of AWS services
