About the position

The Principal Software Engineer - SW CI/CD Engineer at Northrop Grumman is responsible for implementing and maintaining a standardized Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role involves collaboration across multiple teams to ensure the pipeline meets security and operational requirements, supporting the Missile Defense System's software releases and build versions.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a standardized CI/CD pipeline for the C2BMC program.
• Work closely with Cyber and Platforms ART to ensure tools and applications conform to security requirements.
• Present regular updates on the status of the CI/CD pipeline and resolve any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with Systems Admins, IT, and Security teams to support multiple software releases.
• Travel infrequently between Huntsville and Colorado development facilities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Current active in-scope DoD issued secret security clearance at the time of application.
• DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
• Experience with Linux system administration and system security implementations.
• Proficiency in Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD in a classified development environment.
• Working experience with DEVSECOPS.
• Linux shell scripting and Ansible playbook development and management.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in an engineering-focused discipline is highly desired.
