About The Position

Gen is seeking a Principal Product Manager for its Accounts and Entitlements backend platform team. This team is responsible for building scalable, reusable solutions that handle entitlement provisioning, delivery, and management, as well as subscription management and digital access across Gen's ecosystem. The role involves collaborating with various cross-functional teams including product, customer portals, support, sales, e-commerce, marketing, and engineering. The primary focus is on designing and delivering platform solutions that simplify how users activate, manage, and retain access to services across all touchpoints. The Principal Product Manager will lead the evolution of the Accounts and Entitlements platform, aiming to minimize one-off implementations, enable automation, and design scalable, reusable solutions. Short-term goals include designing modular platform capabilities, translating business needs into licensing and account solutions, and integrating multiple brands into a unified, multi-tenant solution. Long-term goals involve automating processes, reducing custom development, and enhancing platform scalability and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on platform or service-oriented architecture.
  • Proven experience with enterprise architecture, APIs, messaging systems, and databases.
  • Strong strategic thinking, balancing technical constraints with business objectives.
  • Experience working with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to abstract complex technical challenges into clear, comprehensible concepts and translate them into tangible, user-centric journeys and solutions.
  • Own product roadmap planning and execution, balancing short-term priorities with long-term platform strategy.
  • Proven ability to analyze current systems and describe a clear path toward next-gen solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Systems mindset: Focus on scalability, reusability, and long-term value in designing solutions.
