About the position

AOL is seeking an energetic and driven designer to lead design initiatives across its core consumer products. This role involves rethinking and reshaping products that impact millions of users daily, ensuring they are user-friendly and visually stunning while reinforcing AOL's brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Lead major design initiatives and guide the design team.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create functional and beautiful designs.
• Shape the design vision and strategy for consistency and quality across products.
• Foster a culture of high standards in visual design within AOL.
• Effectively communicate and sell design ideas to various stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in digital product design for web and mobile.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design work, particularly in digital products.
• Experience in leading design teams and managing projects from start to finish.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Illustration skills are a plus.
