About the position
AOL is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead design initiatives across its core consumer products. Responsibilities
- Lead major design initiatives and guide the design team.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ensure functional and beautiful designs.
- Shape the design vision and strategy for consistency and quality across products.
- Foster a culture of high-quality visual design within the team.
- Effectively communicate and sell design ideas to various stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in digital product design for web and mobile.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design instincts, preferably with a focus on editorial design.
- Experience in leading design teams and managing projects from start to finish.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with different teams.
- Passion for design and staying updated with industry trends.
