About the position

The Principal Lab Operations Cyber Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems within the Test and Evaluation organization. This role involves coordinating with network administrators, interacting with users, evaluating vendor products, and making recommendations for hardware and software purchases. The engineer will also develop and monitor policies for computing resource allocation and ensure adherence to Cyber Operations policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain availability of Test Station, Software Development Environment, and Simulators
• Ensure systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans
• Establish strict program control processes to mitigate risks and support certification and accreditation of systems
• Conduct complete reviews of system audits and monitor corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
• Minimum of 5 years of Cyber and/or System Administration experience or 3 years with a Masters in STEM or 0 years with a PhD in STEM
• Current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification, such as Security+ CE
• Systems Administration experience, including Windows, Linux, and VM environments
• Cybersecurity/Information Assurance experience
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
• Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR)

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability
• Experience implementing storage allocation, reclamation, replication and migration
• Experience operating and configuring security relevant tools such as Splunk and Nessus
