About the position

The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect will be a key member of the Cloud Security Consulting & Technical Alliances team, focusing on cloud security technology and Fortinet products. This role involves delivering consulting services, developing automation code, and creating security blueprints for multi-cloud and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of public cloud technologies, software development, and network/application security, while also acting as a trusted advisor and evangelist for cloud security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in creating multi-cloud and hybrid cloud security blueprints focusing on vendor-neutral and cloud-agnostic design.
• Become an expert in Fortinet products within cloud solutions and maintain knowledge of competitive products.
• Research technology partners' APIs to identify integration opportunities and develop automation code for CSP products/services.
• Attend customer meetings to provide expert opinions on cloud security design and architecture.
• Publish public information such as whitepapers and blogs on relevant technology topics.

Requirements

• 7+ years in roles such as SE, Consulting SE, Cloud Sales Engineer, or Solution Architect in Cloud, Networking, Infrastructure, or Cybersecurity.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python, Java, and/or other programming languages.
• Proficiency in modern software architecture using CI/CD, DevOps tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience in developing applications using Container and serverless technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solution Architect and GCP Cloud Architect.
• Experience with GitHub and Jira.
• Prior experience in GenAI application development.
