About the position

As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our global network infrastructure. You will collaborate and lead with engineers to research, design, prototype, and operationalize solutions while guiding and mentoring teams on best practices. Your responsibilities will include managing network infrastructure, handling public cloud and on-premise network environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource consumption, and monitoring system health. You will also participate in capacity planning, standardize processes, provide 24x7 support, and proactively research new technologies for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and lead with engineers to research, design, prototype, and operationalize solutions.
  • Manage public cloud and on-premise network environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource consumption.
  • Monitor system health and document network deployments with Run Books and architecture diagrams.
  • Participate in capacity planning and provide tools and procedures for resource provisioning.
  • Implement processes to standardize IT practices, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in system support rotation and handle escalations.
  • Proactively research new technologies and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience managing large-scale network infrastructures.
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Perl.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, FedRamp, HIPAA, GDPR).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with routing and networking fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, TCP, UDP, DNS, Load Balancing).
  • Familiarity with network devices and systems (Juniper, Cisco, F5, Palo Alto).
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
  • Google Cloud certification and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
