About the position

As a Principal Associate, Data Scientist in Customer Management at Capital One, you will be part of a dynamic team that leverages advanced machine learning technologies to enhance customer management decisions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative data-driven solutions that improve customer experiences and drive business outcomes. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of machine learning models, from design to deployment, while utilizing a variety of technologies to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric products.
  • Leverage technologies such as Python, AWS, and Spark to analyze data.
  • Build machine learning models through all phases of development.
  • Translate complex data science concepts into actionable business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in data analytics, or Master's Degree plus 3 years of experience, or PhD with expected completion by start date.
  • At least 1 year of experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience with machine learning.
  • At least 1 year of experience with relational databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a STEM field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD in a STEM field.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with AWS.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Python, Scala, or R.
  • At least 3 years' experience with machine learning.
  • At least 3 years' experience with SQL.
