About the position
The Pricing Specialist at Viking Electric is responsible for formulating and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability across the organization. This role involves continuous development of pricing behaviors through education and collaboration with the sales team, ensuring effective pricing practices are maintained throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Proactively analyze and implement customer pricing to maximize profitability.
- Train new and existing sellers on pricing philosophy, structure, and strategy.
- Establish and maintain sell price matrix records.
- Identify and resolve pricing/margin issues in collaboration with product managers.
- Lead process improvements within the pricing platform.
- Research and analyze market pricing through various sources.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum 3 years of business/sales/purchasing/pricing experience in the electrical distribution industry.
- Strong product knowledge in electrical distribution.
- Eclipse knowledge preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.
