About the position

The Preventive Maintenance Technician at Madison-Kipp Corporation is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on die cast machines, machining equipment, and auxiliary equipment. This role emphasizes adherence to the 6S Principles and aims to enhance performance through quality, safety, technology, and sustainability. The technician will work in a heavy manufacturing environment and is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on die casting and CNC equipment.
  • Assist in developing PM procedures for new and existing equipment based on equipment failures or conditions.
  • Use proper tools and gaging equipment as required to complete tasks.
  • Work within the required software to close out work orders.
  • Identify potential sources of breakdowns.
  • Issue out wearable items as needed to complete tasks.
  • Issue work orders as needed for required support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have completed, or be willing to complete and be actively enrolled in school, a 1-year certificate in industrial maintenance courses.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Knowledge of PLC programs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is required.
