About the position
The Prevention and Education Specialist at Cal Poly Pomona is responsible for developing and implementing educational programs aimed at preventing sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation within the campus community. This role involves collaboration with various campus partners to raise awareness and ensure compliance with Title IX and OHR requirements, while also providing administrative support for the Office of Equity and Compliance (OEC).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive evidence-based educational trainings and programs.
- Collaborate with campus partners to coordinate and deliver awareness programs and events.
- Create and maintain training plans to ensure compliance with CSU mandated training requirements.
- Assist with compliance-related programs and create annual reports.
- Conduct assessments and surveys to identify areas needing prevention and education.
- Create marketing materials to promote OEC services and programs.
- Stay updated on national and state developments related to sexual misconduct and cultural competencies.
- Develop relationships with community organizations to enhance outreach and prevention efforts.
- Oversee the administration of OEC's office budget, including preparing budget proposals and monitoring expenditures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
- Basic understanding of standard principles and terminology related to the position.
- Work-ready communication skills.
