Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales in the prestige category by engaging guests to determine their individual needs and assisting in the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise.
  • Maintain overall store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment.
  • Support the Sales Manager through a focus on performance, people, and process.
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales.
  • Ensure exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging every guest, and personalizing service.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests.
  • Book appointments for services and support the execution of in-store events.
  • Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services.
  • Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
  • Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
  • Participate in ongoing training for continuous professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Drive sales by keeping the prestige work area replenished and ensuring hygiene standards.
  • Maintain outstanding store operational standards.
  • Participate in completing merchandise resets, planograms, and inventory procedures.
  • Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program with guests.
  • Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.
  • Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Cosmetology, esthetician or demonstrator’s license where required by state law.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates a passion and significant competency for prestige product, guest service, and selling.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
