About The Position
Operates press brake, plate roll, and related metal forming equipment to bend and shape steel plate into required forms for geotechnical equipment components.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years press brake or plate forming experience
- Ability to read forming drawings
- Familiarity with plate rolling equipment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CNC press brakes
- Crane operator certification
- Forklift certification
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend steel plate per specifications
- Operate plate rolling equipment to form cylindrical and conical shapes
- Read blueprints and forming diagrams to determine bend angles and radii
- Inspect formed parts for dimensional accuracy
- Change and maintain tooling and dies for press brake
- Safely handle and stage heavy steel plate using overhead crane or forklift
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions
