About the position

The Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a printing press to print designs or lettering on corrugated sheets. This role involves maintaining the press, managing ink supplies, and ensuring all print tooling is cleaned and returned properly. The position emphasizes service, relationships, and performance, aligning with the company's core values of helping others, taking ownership, doing the right thing, and expecting excellence.

Responsibilities

• Examines work order to determine work instructions.
• Reads job order and mounts specified rubber plate and printing dies on vinyl and metal backing.
• Washes and stores used print plates in proper location.
• Packages and documents customer-owned plates for return when requested by the customer.
• Maintains ink storage area.
• Cleans rubber plate.
• Observes all safety policies and procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out rules.
• Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• GED or high school diploma required.
• 1-3 months experience or combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ERP systems such as HRMS, Amtech, Parabox, etc.
• Familiarity with Kiwi ADP Workforce Now.
