About The Position

Legends Global is the premier hospitality partner for live events, venues, and brands, delivering exceptional experiences through an integrated service model. This role provides operational support across the Huntington Center and Glass City Center within the Toledo Complex. The Prep Cook is responsible for food preparation, execution, and safe handling of food for service to customer-facing employees.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment.

  • Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and prepared to report to work as scheduled.
  • Must follow company policies, workplace conduct standards, safety expectations, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Report for scheduled events on time and to the assigned area promptly.
  • Fulfill assigned opening and closing duties.
  • Report to direct supervisor for prep lists and daily task timelines.
  • Carry out assigned tasks in a timely and safe manner using correct recipes.
  • Constantly maintain walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and all work areas.
  • Have extensive knowledge of all menus offered, including specials.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Attendants, Runners, Chefs, and Legends Management.
  • Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within the venue.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail that will exceed expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly setting within the kitchen.
  • Complete closing duties and check out with the manager/supervisor.
  • Know the kitchen and back-of-house area layout, including the location of First Aid, bathrooms, and staircases, and be able to direct staff and guests.
  • Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue.
  • May be reassigned to a different location based on venue needs.

  • Work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
