About the position

The Pre-Sales Engineer will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with executives and internal sales teams to identify opportunities and design technical solutions that address complex business challenges. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively present solutions and demonstrate their business value.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to understand their technical environments, pain points, and business goals.
  • Create tailored technical solutions that integrate the company's core offerings, including Data Center, Network Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity solutions, with professional services.
  • Conduct high-level discussions with CIOs, CTOs, and other executives, translating technical value into business benefits.
  • Develop accurate and comprehensive BOMs for proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentation decks, showcasing the ROI and business impact of proposed solutions.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to build and close the pipeline, providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor certifications to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role.
  • Background in Data Center, Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in designing technical solutions and creating BOMs.
  • Familiarity with the company's core vendors such as Rubrik, Cohesity, Dell, Lenovo, Armis, Juniper, and Aruba.
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, concise business benefits.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, with a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Confidence in building relationships and engaging with C-level executives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, or vendor-specific certifications) are a plus.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $80-$100k (flexible/based on experience) + BONUS, OTE $150k+
