About the position

The Pre-Production/Product Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in the apparel industry by managing the sample development process and ensuring that all production specifications are met. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including merchandisers and technical designers, to achieve desired outcomes in garment production.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with merchandiser and technical designer.
• Manage all aspects of sample development and processes according to calendar.
• Work with factories to achieve desired costing.
• Build and maintain development calendar and cost charts.
• Manage and finalize garment spec measurements and quality control.
• Handle bulk swatch confirmations to ensure color and fabric consistency.
• Coordinate development samples and assist with art/lab dip and fabric approvals and work with dyehouse/screen printers.

Requirements

• 3+ years minimum of Pre-Production/Product Development experience with sourcing experience.
• Solid understanding of garment specifications and trims.
• Solid knowledge of production processes and costing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage workflow and projects.
