About the position
The Pre-K/Kindergarten Teacher at Stream Academy is a part-time internship role focused on creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the curriculum while fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. This position requires collaboration with colleagues and parents to support student development and ensure a safe learning space.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a student-centered, positive environment
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students to build rapport and trust
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development
- Incorporate educational best practices and innovative teaching methods into daily lessons
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of classroom practices
- Familiarity with private school education is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a dynamic and positive classroom environment
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum design
- Certification in Teaching is preferred
